Phuket has an incrediblby diverse array of nightlife and entertainment that will amaze you during your stay here. There are the famous pubs and bars along Patong's Soi Bangla, Soi Bangla is the heart and soul of Patong Beach.
Here is where you will find as much nightlife as you can handle. From approximately 11 a.m. - 2a.m. there are plenty of watering holes to keep you occupied and refreshed. Of course there are the beautiful Thai ladies working in the bars to keep you entertained whether it is for some enlightening conversation, or perhaps for a game of backgammon or other popular board game,the beautiful ago-go girls who will enchant you with their beauty, the "girls" that dance on the bars at "Soi Katoey" (who might have previously been performing at Simon Cabaret).

Many people can remember when Patong beach, Phuket's main resort, was a few bungalows.
It is now a major international resort. However the whole Island has become a major tourist destination with several resort areas and large hotel resorts all round the island.
Phuket Town, the official state capital, is a hive of industry as well as a port.
Patong Beach is the main area that will interest our readers, but that does not mean to say there is
not life elsewhere.

Patong has a vast variety of nightlife from small beer bars to modern flashy cocktail lounges and gogos.
It also has one of the latest nightlife areas in Thailand. The beach is a popular daytime destination and is safe to swim providing you watch the currents in certain seasons. However no problem if your idea of swimming is a gentle paddle. The beach is large enough for those who want to find a little relatively clear space, but of course, the beach traders will still find you. Being such a vast tourist attraction, which these days is heavily focused on couples and families means, that almost every tourist attraction is available. The Phuket Fantasia show is, by all reports, well worth a visit. There are four good golf courses on the island.

After perusing Soi Bangla, many visitors head to the local discos for some dancing and mingling at such locations as the Banana Disco, Safari Pub, and the Shark Club. After 3 a.m. the action starts to heat up at Soi Sunset (appropriately named as these bars usually go until the sun rises).

There are also many night time shopping centers and bazaars in which to pick up that perfect souvenir for your friends and relatives who could not make the trip.
